Yao-otome

Yao-otome
   The eight (or lucky, or many) virgins (see Otome-mai). A group or procession of virgins, i.e. 'pure' girls under the age of menstruation, which is polluting. Often today it actually refers to a group of chigo—girls and boys under 12, who may be accompanied in a procession by their mothers.
