Suzu

Suzu
   A cluster of bells, used in shrine ritual. Isuzu means 'five bells' and Isuzu-gawa is the name of the clear river (gawa) that flows past the Ise Jingu and in which visitors to the shrine wash their hands and face before proceeding (see Misogi, Temizu, Mi-tarashi).
